Richard is the Associate Director for General Qualifications Policy at Ofqual. He has been involved in GCSE and A level reform for three years and has worked for Ofqual for seven years, previous to which he worked for QCA.

Science practicals and wider research
Rosalind Mist
Rosalind is responsible for the Royal Society’s work in education policy in schools and universities. This includes work on education research, curriculum and qualifications, political engagement and HE. Before joining the Royal Society in 2008, she worked with science museums and centres on informal learning projects. Her academic background is in space physics research.

Julie Swan
Julie is the Acting Executive Director for General Qualifications. She joined Ofqual in December 2008 and currently works on a range of regulatory initiatives, including to remove the QCF regulatory arrangements and on Ofqual’s role in regulating apprenticeship assessments. Julie’s previous roles include as Head of Education and Training for the Law Society of England and Wales and as Director of Development for the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
