I am a 27 year old qualified Science teacher. I completed my teacher training in Bedfordshire and obtained a PGCE in Biology. During my training year I was trained to teach all three Sciences at both KS3 and KS4.
I studied a BSc (Hons) Medical Degree at the University of Bedfordshire and obtained a 2:1 classification. In the year 2012 I decided to take a year abroad in Nigeria (where my family originate from) to enrol in a youth programme. During this year in Nigeria I taught in a secondary school – I taught both Science and Geography.
I currently work in an independent private school based in South West London. I think it is highly important that teaching is tailored to suit the needs of each and every student. This is what I strive to achieve in all of my lessons through differentiated tasks and questioning. I take time to find out from my students what strategies they feel best work for them and then incorporate that into my teaching strategies and extend it to enhance their progress further.
What I do when I am not tutoring:
