About me:

Through many years of working in 1:1 positions, both in SEN focused work and other LSA positions, I have developed numerous approaches and come to understand the various ways individuals can learn.

By being responsive to the individual needs of the students, I can tailor the tuition especially for them and this can take various forms. Often whilst working with students I have found that resources should reflect their learning style. I believe this principle extends across the whole of education. This could mean working with primarily visual resources over using interactive resources for example.

My focus is primarily on building upon the strengths a student may exhibit and carrying this momentum forward to tackle more complex challenges and opportunities for growth.

I believe in building a passion for learning as well as an engagement with the topics at hand.

What I do when I am not tutoring:

When I am not tutoring or studying for my masters degree I work within schools as a Learning Support Assistant across the curriculum. I also run workshops and sessions to bring music into the community. These are usually in conjunction with charitable organisations, facilitating creativity and social engagement amongst various members of the community
