Our expert tutors are able to prepare students for SATS, 11+, GCSE, IGCSE, Int’l Baccalaureate & A-level examinations. We work with tutors that have received the necessary qualifications and training required to teach or tutor in primary, secondary or tertiary institutions.
All our tutors are required to hold a minimum of a 2:1 degree or a 2:2 degree combined with a Masters, Postgraduate degree, Teacher training certificate or equivalent. A large number of our tutors have QTS (Qualified teacher status) or have gained teaching or tutoring experience schools in state and independent schools the UK or abroad.
In addition to this, all of our tutors are DBS (formerly CRB) checked. This means that we are able to check if they have any criminal records or convictions prior to registration.
Our private tutors are selected based on their passion for teaching, their strong subject knowledge, the experience gained from teaching or tutoring students from schools within the UK, the information provided by previous employers and feedback from parents and students that they have tutored in the past.
All our tutors are independent self-employed private tutors and they choose to join WISE Tutors because they understand the importance of accountability.
Our private tutors use current teaching methods and provide students with effective & efficient exam techniques. They have worked with numerous students helping them achieve exam success and they work hard to ensure that they continually receive positive feedback from students, parents and other clients.
Prior to selecting a private tutor, we recommend all parents look through profiles of three or more suitable private tutors in order to decide which professional tutor would be best suited to their child’s learning and development. The profiles include details of the private tutor’s educational background, qualifications, teaching or tutoring experience as well as their teaching style.
The tutor profiles also designed for parents looking for private home tutors. They show the feedback received from other parents and clients. This can be extremely helpful when a parents is deciding which private home tutor to work with, as it gives the parent a chance to read real reviews for that particular private home tutor.
Parents and other clients are also recommended to conduct telephone interviews with the tutor before starting tuition, this gives an additional opportunity for the parent to understand the tutors o tutors Parents are also encouraged to provide feedback and add this to the tutor’s profile after a few weeks of tuition and again at the end of each academic term or academic year.
You will need to be logged in and registered with WISE Tutors as a parent or client in order to read the tutor reviews on each tutor’s profile.
If you are not yet registered with WISE Tutors as a parent or a client, you will not be able to read individual tutor reviews that are written on each tutor profile. However, you may feel free to look through tutor profiles and read all tutor reviews.
