Exam revision courses

WISE tutors is able to offer half-term and Easter or Summer holiday revision courses to students requiring 11+ tuition, KS2/KS3 SATS tuition, GCSE tuition and A-level tuition.

11+ revision courses include Maths tuition, English tuition, Verbal reasoning tuition and Non-verbal reasoning tuition. GCSE tuition is usually in Maths or English and A-level tuition is in A-level Maths modules only ie. Core Maths tuition, Decision Maths tuition, Mechanics tuition or Statistics tuition.

These courses are also popular with students that are home educated and require additional support during school holidays. They are also popular with students that attend boarding schools during term time and are therefore not available for private home tuition. Parents that usually live abroad and are visiting London for the holiday period may also find these courses useful especially if the student attends a school that follows the British curriculum.

The revision courses may also be suited to students that are more suited to working with a group of other students, this may be due to not enjoying one-to-one private tuition or a general need for the student to not feel isolated while learning over the holiday period.

These revision courses provide continuous learning and development for children between the ages of 9 and 18. The revision courses are usually held in locations around London, Croydon and Bromley.

  • Half-term revision courses run for a period of 4-5 days. These take place in October, February and May, excluding bank holiday weekends.
  • Easter revision courses run for 9 days during the Easter holiday excluding bank holiday weekends.
  • Summer revision courses run throughout August for 20 weekdays excluding bank holiday weekends.

During each revision session, students work in groups of 4 to 6 students and are tutored by qualified private tutors that work with WISE tutors. Each revision day is three hours long with the day consisting of two 1.5 hour sessions and an additional half hour break. Parents can therefore choose to join a morning or afternoon revision day.

Morning revision courses take place from 9am-12.30pm, afternoon revision courses take place from 12.30pm-4pm.

Students are required to conduct an assessment prior to starting the revision course, this helps our expert tutors identify the student’s weaknesses, strengths and individual learning needs and prepare the course material at a pace and level that is suited to the student’s attainment.
