What I do when I am not tutoring:

I am very interested in helping and guiding children, young people and adults. As well as my work with Homestart Barnet, I have also joined my local communities welfare committee in order to help and support members of the community. As already mentioned, I work for a voluntary organisation which offers telephone support and help to any person (adults and children) in the country who are experiencing problems or difficulties. As part of my continuing professional development I am extending my Child and Adolescent Counselling knowledge and skills with further training. I enjoy watching football and tennis and the arts and music. I regularly attend concerts and cinemas, as well as visiting galleries and museums.

About me:

I firmly believe in continuing professional development and am always committed to attending courses for this purpose. I have attended and been awarded certificates for the Six ‘Common Core’ Training programme run by the London borough of Barnet – made up of: – effective communication and engagement with children and young people; child and young person development; safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the child; supporting transitions; multi-agency working; sharing information. I have been trained and certificated in facilitating the Common Assessment Framework documentation.
